Start the 10-Minute Trick – It Works Miracles
The successful student of The Bragg Healthy Lifestyle, and anyone who has successfully made healthy exercise part of their daily routine, will tell you the same thing: The moment of beginning is the most difficult. The inbetween moment after you decide you want to become healthier and before you begin to act on that decision is the hardest moment. The moment before you put that one leg in front of the other on the first step of your brisk walk is the most difficult moment of the exercise.
The people who tell the success stories of exercise recommend “tricking yourself” into exercising at first. Play the “10-minute trick.” Before you start (the hardest moment), tell yourself, “I’ll only exercise for 10 minutes and then I’ll stop. That will be easy and I’ll be done soon.” Once you’ve done this, you’re on the path to healthy fitness - and it will be fun! Once this most difficult moment is over (the beginning) you’ll find when the 10 minute mark comes around that you are enjoying yourself too much to quit so soon.
Fast Help for Panicky, Stressful Moments
Stress and fear tightens the body, especially the breathing muscles. Learn to relax and loosen the tightened muscles and panic and tensions will melt away.
These simple exercises will bring fast relief:
Concentrate breathing in deeply and slowly, then blow out slowly all stress and tension.
Wait! Don’t breathe for a few seconds. While breath is out, force stomach muscles in and out 4 times.
Slow shoulder rolls to ears – then roll back, down and around, then reverse rolls. Do 5 times and you will be more relaxed and peaceful.
For a nervous stomach, do this finger acupressure: Pinch your skin between thumb and forefinger. This helps for car and plane sickness and a nervous stomach.
Relax, be happy, count your blessings!
